The Tigers fell short 9-2 against Commerce despite having more hits. The Tigers out-hit Commerce 8-6. Commerce scored two runs in the second and four in the third to take a quick 7-0 lead that the Tigers couldn’t recover from.

Starting on the mound for the Tigers was Robert Hunt. Hunt pitched 3 innings allowing 6 runs, only 4 of which were earned. Hunt gave up four hits and recorded two strikeouts. Also appearing on the mound were Jackson Thornton and Ray Collins. Thornton pitched 1.2 innings giving up 3 runs on 1 hit with a strikeout. Collins pitched the last 1.1 innings in scoreless fashion giving up only one hit.

Alex Lamar, Hunter Price, and Ryan Hucke lead the Tiger offensive each recording two hits. Hucke drove in both of the Tigers runs. Hucke also joined Price in swiping a pair of stolen bases. Hunt and Donovan Anthony had one hit a piece.

Up next the Tigers resume region play against Glascock on Monday, March 10. The game is set to start at 5:30 in Glascock.
